Project Overview

As an Artwork Projects Coordinator embedded within Coca-Cola’s West Africa Business Unit (WABU), I managed high-volume packaging artwork development across diverse markets, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. Working under Polyflex, a leading South African packaging agency, I helped bridge the gap between Coca-Cola’s brand objectives and market-specific execution.

The role was pivotal in ensuring that multilingual campaign assets were accurate, timely, and ready for market — especially during large-scale initiatives like Coke Studio and the FIFA World Cup. My coordination ensured that visual integrity and brand consistency were upheld across regions.

Project Lifecycle

  1. Discovery & Briefing
    • Reviewed campaign briefs from Coca-Cola global/local teams via KO Art Platform.
    • Interpreted technical artwork requirements and compliance standards per market.
  2. Creative & Technical Coordination
    • Liaised between Coca-Cola stakeholders, creative agencies, and production vendors
    • Ensured alignment across versions, languages, and print formats (e.g. PET, cans, flexographic, digital)
  3. Development & Prepress
    • Monitored artwork production workflows through KO Art and MIS systems
    • Ensured timely revisions and approvals across all required markets
  4. Quality Control & Delivery
    • Verified color separation specs and prepress readiness for different substrates.
    • Delivered final, print-ready artwork to converters and print vendors.
  5. Reporting & Optimization
    • Tracked KPIs and delivery milestones using Excel, PowerPoint, and Knime
    • Maintained transparency with SharePoint-based logs and Teams coordination
