About
I’m Kay
A full-stack developer and digital strategist helping small businesses and startups across Africa scale with custom tech, clean design, and systems that drive results.
For over a decade, I’ve played key roles in digital projects across startups and global brands — building and working with tools that simplify processes, improve customer experience, and drive impact.
Currently based in Nigeria, I’m passionate about building tools that simplify processes, enhance customer experience, and empower businesses to scale — especially across underserved markets.
what drives me
I care deeply about building tools that solve real problems — from enabling fashion businesses with Tailor l’ó rãn, to streamlining brand campaigns like Coca-Cola’s FIFA rollout. I bring clarity, momentum, and a relentless drive to deliver.
I thrive under pressure, showing up as someone others can trust. Whether it’s mentoring, solving challenges, or improving systems, I’m driven by integrity, collaboration, and long-term impact.
My long-term vision is to help close the digital gap for underserved communities — starting with small businesses in Africa. I believe technology should be accessible, practical, and empowering. Every project I take on is a step toward that goal, whether I’m building a platform, training others, or streamlining processes that make a difference.
my work
Here are some highlights from my recent work:
Tailor l’ó rãn Platform (April 2023 – Present): Co-founded and led full-stack development of a fashion-tech platform that enables designers to manage orders and collect accurate body measurements online. Built with PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL, and deployed using WordPress and cPanel, and focused on streamlining user experience for African fashion businesses.
CAP Studios, Tailor l’ó rãn, and this Portfolio (Feb 2022 – Present): Designed and developed responsive, brand-aligned websites for creative studios and SMEs. Leveraged WordPress, Elementor, and custom HTML/CSS to help businesses establish a digital presence. Projects emphasized performance, mobile responsiveness, and scalability.
CIFES – External Collaborator (Mar. 2023 – Nov. 2023): Collaborated remotely with international data analysts to support public health research. Assisted in building dashboards and extracting insights using Google Sheets, lightweight automation, and data visualization tools.
Coca-Cola WABU via Polyflex (Oct 2017 – Feb 2022): Managed multilingual packaging artwork for Coca-Cola’s FIFA World Cup and Coke Studio campaigns across English, French, and Portuguese-speaking markets. Worked with marketing and production teams to deliver print-ready assets on tight schedules while ensuring brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
Tropic Plastic via MarkIT Solutions (Nov 2013 – Oct 2017): Developed an internal ink usage tracking tool that provided real-time cost-per-job transparency to management. Improved operational efficiency by linking ink consumption data directly to print runs and client billing, reducing material waste and enabling better decision-making.
Outside the Code
When I’m not building systems or managing projects, I’m learning from Africa’s small business owners, farming for home consumption, or exploring ideas that blend entrepreneurship and tech for social impact. These pursuits keep me grounded and connected to the communities I hope to empower through technology.
Beyond code and projects, I value the richness of cultural exchange. Being fluent in both French and English, I connect deeply with diverse communities — from the Ivorian roots of my upbringing, to spirited football debates with Congolese friends I met while living in South Africa. These experiences continue to shape my worldview, communication style, and collaborative mindset.
They remind me that tech is only one piece of the puzzle — people, stories, and context are just as vital to building meaningful solutions. Understanding this has helped me approach development and strategy with empathy and perspective.
let’s work together
I’m currently open to remote opportunities as a frontend developer, a full stack developer or a project manager
If you’re building something meaningful and need someone who can lead, build, and adapt — I’d love to connect.
